transformation

What brought you here?

Do you feel like an NPC (Non-Player Character) in a game that someone else is playing?

Do you usually say “I have to do it” or “I must” instead of “I want to”? ‘

As in: “I’d love to do this full time, but I have to make a living”

You are not alone.

As a society we are experiencing an Epidemic of Lack of Meaning. Its main symptom is the feeling that we are selling the few precious hours of our life for pocket change. Surveys show that 8 out of 10 employees feel disengaged at work.

If you suffer from lack of meaning, nothing motivates you to be in your best shape

So you are more likely to neglect healthy sleep, diet and exercise

More likely to burn out and get fired or loose your own business

More likely to loose your relationship with your loved ones

In worst case scenario, you will be caught in a downward spiral, towards mental and physical sickness

The good news is you have all that it takes to find your meaning. Within you

“Rewire for Flow” is a neuroscience-based guide on how to tap into your own power and take charge of your own life

A guide inspired by my own journey, from a place of meaninglessness to finding my Purpose

Disclaimer: it is not a magic potion that will change your life without your effort

Sustainable change takes real work

But it’s worth it

And it’s a fun journey

“Rewire for Flow” method

The method consist of 5 steps:

  1. Learn to regulate your emotions
  2. Recognize and let go of your limiting beliefs
  3. Find your life purpose
  4. Translate purpose into specific goals
  5. Learn tools that you need to follow through

1. Learn to regulate your emotions

What we today perceive as “negative” emotions, was actually life-saving for our ancestors.

  • Fear made them aware of threats and able to run faster.
  • Anger helped them defend themselves and their tribes.
  • Sadness signalled they needed support.

A prehistoric ancestor saw a lion once a week. A modern human reads about other humans being raped, murdered and tortured five minutes after they wake up, and that’s just a beginning of an eventful day at home and at work.

But the abundance of triggers is just one side of the problem.

What is even worse, is that the modern human doesn’t give themselves permission to feel the “negative” emotions. They accumulate until they either explode, damaging their relationships, or even longer, leading to physical and mental sickness.

The “Rewire for Flow” method addresses this problem in three ways:

  • Through awareness of your emotions and their triggers
  • Through healthy expression of your emotions
  • Through breathing and somatic techniques

2. Recognize and let go of your limiting beliefs

Your limiting beliefs are the self-fulfilling prophecies that keep you small

Their source is usually in your childhood

It could be your teacher who said you’re not made for maths

It could be your father who thought you were not athletic enough

It could be your mother who was ashamed about your grades

Today, these limiting beliefs might be causing you to live below your potential

  • To play it safe, and stay in a job that is no longer letting you grow
  • To hold on to a relationship that is no longer fulfilling
  • To let your friends drag you into their addictions and unhealthy lifestyle

These limiting beliefs are the guardians at the gate leading to your purpose

But if you keep your eyes on the purpose, and bravely walk through the gate, the guardians will step aside. Remember you’re not alone

3. Find your life purpose

Following your life’s purpose is the key to a happy life.

You may think that it takes many years to find it

But it can happen much sooner

What it takes to find your purpose is to enter a state of deep relaxation

It may help to use consciousness-expanding tools, letting go of control and expectations

Letting the answer appear in your mind, as if it was always there

4. Translate purpose into specific goals

What distinguishes a purpose-driven life from an eternal dreamer’s life is having a plan on how to get there.

Without a plan, your purpose will remain just a dream, and over time you may become bitterly disillusioned

What can you do now to move towards your purpose?

If you want to make the world a better place by offering your unique talent, do you already spend an hour per day doing it?

If you want to become the person you always wanted to be, do you already spend an hour per week with people who are like this?

If you want to have a happy relationship, do you already spend an hour per month talking about each other’s needs?

5. Learn tools that you need to follow through

If you have a purpose and clear goals that’s half of success

The other half is actually getting stuff done

Imagine your goals as a herd of lovely white sheep, with three hungry wolves circling around them – procrastination, fears and external distractions

You can run around and try to scare away the wolves. But once you get tired, they will outrun you and eat your sheep

To protect them for good, build a fence:

The first wall is your Pyramid vision-to-task system, which links your ongoing tasks to your goals and makes space for projects that really matter.

The second wall is your Idea-to-execution system: that organizes your creative process and prevents your best ideas getting lost

The third wall is your Self-aware decision-making protocol, allowing you to take decisions in alignment with your purpose, with full clarity and minimal bias

The fourth wall is your If-then planning protocol, to help you build new supportive habits

“Rewire for Flow” community

Have you heard about the “mirror neurons” in your brain?

They are the neurons that make you smile when you see someone smile

They make you feel happier when you look at a happy person

And anxious, when you are with someone anxious

Because of these neurons, we become like the people we spend time with

That’s why community is such an important aspect of “Rewire for Flow”

It’s a non-hierarchical community, bringing together very diverse people with one thing in common: deep motivation to live their best life

At “Rewire for Flow”, helping others is seen as part of helping yourself. The skills that you acquire holding space are the same skills that you will take to your home and workplace to build healthier relationships

Every event is based on the principle of co-creation, where every participant brings their unique skills, knowledge and experience, for the benefit of all
